Getting There:

Tagaytay is every city dweller’s favorite weekend hideaway, summer destination, and soul searching harbour. Why not, when it’s only57 kilometers away from Metro Manila! By bus, you can commute via Manila-Tagaytay DLTB or San Agustin bus. Simply go to the Buendia Makati Station and pay the PHP80 bus fare. By car, you can take the South Luzon Expressway via Sta Rosa-Tagaytay Road.

Find Serenity in the Marvelous Sight of Taal Volcano

Nature heals humans better than man-made medicine. Tagaytay is so full of natural life from trees, forests, parks to wildlife sanctuaries. It also boasts of the marvelous vantage views of the beautiful Taal Volcano, the Philippine’s smallest active volcano. I will never get over the healing effect of looking at this volcano from Tagaytay. It eases my anxiety and helps reduce unpleasant feelings knowing that something so powerful can sit still and be so awe-inspiring.

Release Your Worries at the Palace in the Sky

Also dubbed as People’s Park in the Sky, it’s one of my favorite Tagaytay spots whenever I needed a well-being boost. It’s an incomplete mansion meant to house US Senator Ronald Raegan during the Marcos era. Just like in life, you need to hike uphill to get an incredible view of Tagaytay City and its neighboring cities.

Remember the Child in You at the Sky Ranch Tagaytay

Yes. There’s an amusement park in Tagaytay and it’s called Sky Ranch. It’s best to visit this place with friends or family members so you can add the moments to your treasured memory bank. There are enjoyable rides such as Wonder Flight, Mini Viking, Express Train and Super Viking. If you’re feeling sentimental, it’s reassuring to see the world inside the Sky Eye for only PHP 150.

Go Binge Eating at the Bulalo Point

Aside from its beautiful tourist spots, Tagaytay is also famous for its iconic Bulalo (Filipino-style delicious beef shanks and marrow soup). It’s perfect for Tagaytay’s chilly weather. It’s also proven to help decrease stress levels. If you’re feeling a bit down, depressed, and cold make your tummy happy by enjoying a comforting bowl of Bulalo at the Bulalo Point. You can also try to visit Mahogany Market and Balay Dako if you decide to go Bulalo hopping.

While there are hundreds of ways to uncover your truth, taking a short trip outside the city is an incredible way to have a well-nourished soul. Don’t be afraid to fight exhaustion through the healing power of nature. Go to a place where you will be happy because you deserve it.
